People who know Tim and i will already know our struggle to have a family, we have been going through IVF for the last 5 years with no success and are coming to the end of our New Zealand Funded IVF cycle's. So when i caught Salem snoozing away on my newborn set up (all newborn stuff were washed straight after) i decided to wrap him up and pose him like a newborn as he is not a pet but a much loved part of our family, My Saley Babay
Cruz and Roo are two beautiful Golden Labs, their mum and dad Jan and Matt wanted to get images for their wall with their two fur babies to celebrate their anniversary together and picked the spot where they take the dogs for their daily walk which was Frazers gully in Kaikorai Vally.
Lewis wanted to get his 2 dogs photographed as a gift for his girl friends Birthday, so we headed out to the best beach for dogs in dunedin and let the girls play!
Below is Sia Back in 2012 i photographed Bonnie and David Casey's Pets, they had 3 cats and an old dog, two of the cats were pure breed persian's named Pepper and Billy, and a persian x russian blue named Beagle's their dog was a english bull terrier named ollie who since photographing her has sadly Passed away, these photos of her are now framed taking pride and place in their home!. We believe that its very important to have these memories to keep for years to come because a family pet in not just a pet they are a very important part of your family, they are just as important as your children and should be treated the same. Meet Ollie, such a sweet gentle thing! i realised something during the time i new her, i had heard that these dogs were nasty and attacked people the same as the staffie and pit bull breeds and were made to be muzzled when taken for walks but i learnt that that is simply not true, for all the years of knowing this dog she never had a vicious bone in her body yet her breed is feared by most people. i am glad that i was lucky enough to know her and will remember all the good times she shared together, like the times we went camping! Ollie came too, she even came fishing with us, i remember evey time i came to visit she would greet me at the door with a few barks then her funny we grunt as she sniffed me.
R.I.P wee Ollie Dolly, you won't be in pain any more sweet heart rest easy :'( I found this cat a few houses up from my grandparents place in Musselburgh just rubbing it selt on the concret so i picked up my camera and started to photograph it, he had the most amazing eyes i had even seen in a cat, i had heard that some white cats had two-toned eyes but i had never seen it it person before.
Last week my loving husband Tim gifted me a new lens {the canon 24-70mm f2.8 mrk2}, so over the weekend since it was a nice sunny day and not to cold we decided to take the dogs for a run on Tomahawk Beach and test out my new lens
Gunner came into the studio for his Portrait, he is such a cutie and a breed that i hadn't heard of before.
He is a Swedish Val Hund and looks like a miniature German Shepherd Meet Finbar. Finbar is a 6year old Hunterway Collie cross and is an excellent Search and Rescue dog. |
