Tarquin came into the studio at 7 days new he was such a cutie
Just loved this maternity shoot Andrea and Steve are such a lovely couple, they have so much love for each other, this shoot took place down at Long Beach Dunedin on a gorgeous sunny saturday morning, the only down side to it was the very high winter sun with hardly any colds in the sky, but other than that it was a perfect day
absolutely loved this maternity shoot the weather was perfect, It had been wet a couple of days before then the sun shone for Manjot and Jay for the start of their shoot and as soon as it finished the rain started again then rained for days. Manjot and Jay were blessed with a beautiful two hours.
this wedding was just one of a kind, a very special day, and the bride and Groom had so much love for each other.
On the thursday the rain was just coming down, it looked like it had set in and there wasn't much hope for a clear day for the photos up at the castle, so we hunted around the shops trying to find one more white umbrella just in case, but had no luck.
The wedding day was finally here and you wouldn't have believed that it was pouring with rain the day before, but the sun was out and there wasn't a rain cloud to be seen.
The dress was beautiful, the Bride looked stunning and the location was just amazing .
Thank you guys so much for choosing us to capture your big day it was an amazing day and we hope you guys have a wonderful life together! :)
Not so long ago we had the pleasure of witnessing Kelly get down on one knee and propose to Michelle at her 21st Birthday Party.
We spent the morning wandering around the dunedin botanical gardens and then made our way down to St Clair Beach for their engagement shoot!
They have so much LOVE for each other, you can just see it in these images.
after the geardens we headed to the beach down by the St Clair Poles.
we thought it would be fun to dress Michelle and Kelly up and have a bit of fun!
Tina Brought along a pirate outfit that we have from our prop box for children to dress up in, for our studio shoots as one of Michelle' family ancestors was a pirate! originally from the Spanish court and who is now celebrated in Florida. his treasure is lost deep in the everglades, so we thought this image was very fitting and only her family would really understand the meaning of it :)
after that little bit of fun we got back in to the serious images
Michelle & Kelly, your such an awesome couple, with so much love for each other! it was such an awesome day and tina and i can't wait to photograph your wedding if its anything like this shoot its going to be so much fun
Michelle i can honestly say you are going to be a stunning Bride xoxox :)
When your a Photographer its hard when you have to find someone else to capture your Big Day! in the way you want it to be captured, in the same sort of style you would capture it your self!. I spent the last 2 1/2 years searching for that one Dunedin Photographer who i could know and TRUST to capture my special day that i my self had envisioned!, i spent 2 years going through blogs, websites, and Facebook and enquiring on prices looking for that perfect Dunedin Wedding photographer but just couldn't find one i really liked or that was in my price range, so i decided to visit my old polytech tutor and as we were chatting i mentioned how hard it was trying to find a photographer and that i wished he still did weddings and with that we had finally found our photographer!
As you could only imagine it was very hard to not pick up my camera and start shooting my own wedding and just sit back and relax while my photographer was taking my photos!!! but i couldn't hold back that itch and took some images of my own with the help of mum (Tina), my Makeup Artist Kristy Wood and my 3 beautiful Bridesmaids and of course our dear photographer :)
i now understand how our brides feel on and leading up to their wedding days
The EXCITEMENT, Stress and worry and a little bit of BrideZilla,
Will the weather be perfect? will the day go with out a hiccup? can i hold back the tears? and will our guest enjoy themselves? all things i know you other brides will be going through and the fact is nothing ever goes to plan
we had some hiccups along the way a bridesmaid dress went missing in the post for 7days when it was meant to be on an overnight courier, then when it finally got here it had to be re fixed as it was all out of shape and the ruching had come out because of the way an alterations company had taken it up as it was a bit long, then finally on the friday b4 the wedding we were missing a pair of groommens shoes, i was about to pall my here out
So here is how i spent my wedding day!!!!!!!
The Date of our wedding day was a very special date it was the birth date of my late father Ronnie Watt who passed away when i was only 10 on March 13th 1998 of a Heart attack in Auckland's Greenlane Hospital.
Kosta waiting for the girls to get ready so he can put is cool suite on
Wee Meyah getting her Hair done and wearing what she called her zizie dress
Tim's Mum & Dad came to see how we were getting on and to let us know that the boys had just left of the ceremony
Tina, the Girls and i + the boys and Tim's Family Helped set the reception up the night before the wedding and did a fantastic job at it! it turned an old boring rugby club in to a dream wedding reception
I had such a lovely day and can't wait to get the rest of my photos and Videos :)

Today was the Viewing of Grandview Gardens in Outram to see where the sun will be and the best place to have their Wedding Ceremony in November 2014, as they had purchased our French collection they got a free Engagement shoot so Tina and I (Jade) thought it would be a cool idea if we were to take their Engagement Photos at the Gardens while we were there Viewing them!, we talked it over with Luke and Ashleigh who agreed and then contacted Grandview Gardens and were given permission

One of our field trips during my time studying the diploma in digital photography was to Tunnel Beach.
Tunnel Beach is just two kilometres south of Dunedin, its name comes from a passage that was hand carved in the 1870s through a rock to allow access to a secluded and sheltered beach at the base of the cliffs. its a beautiful beach and the walking track down is not so bad but man the incline back up is not so good.
Its place's like this that really make Dunedin a beautiful city to live in
Back in November 2012 My Husband and I were in invited to our Friends Jen and Andrews Wedding at Chingford Park.
I took my camera along as i was given promission to take some picks by Jen and Andrew and their Photographer
so heres what i took. the inside images are a bit noisy but that is to be expected as we were right at the back of the stables and there was very minimal light and i couldn't use my flash
after the ceremony we made our way to a felid on the other side of the park to take the formal images of the group and families of the Bride and Groom
You looked stunning Jen, thank you for inviting us to your wedding and for allowing me to photography it for my portfolio along side your official photographer in am really honoured and hope you in joy your photos
Gunner came into the studio for his Portrait, he is such a cutie and a breed that i hadn't heard of before.
He is a Swedish Val Hund and looks like a miniature German Shepherd
Meet Steph and Mark
Waiting on their wee bundle of joy to arrive
Not long now till she's here
Thanks for letting us Capture these memories for you!
Back in 2012 we Photographed Jacob and Sara's Wedding at Iona Church in Port Chalmers Dunedin, it was cold windy with four seasons in one day, a typical dunedin day, but is was a beautiful Wedding nun the less.
This was only our 2nd wedding to photograph at!
Can't believe how far we have come in 2 and 1/2 years since we started this business.
after the ceremony was over we headed to Lady Thorn Dell and photographed amongst the Rhododendrons then proceeded to back beach and the Tunnel
on our way back round to the port town hall, we stopped off at the train tunnel and set the bridal party up in side and made it look like they were running from a train
after that the were all photoed out so we headed to the port town hall for the reception
Jake and Sara it was such an Honer to be a part of your Big day!
so far one year down and a life time to go

Meet Finbar. Finbar is a 6year old Hunterway Collie cross and is an excellent Search and Rescue dog.
Aoraki Polytechnic took us on a file trip to see The Elephant Rocks, which are incredible geological limestone formations that bring visitors to this site in the South Island from all over the world.
it was an Incredible day trip, as well as seeing the rocks we stopped off at Oamaru for a coffee and lunch break and just wandered around looking at the steam punk art that surrounded the town
